Let us revise the term circle.What is a circle??

Circle: A circle is the locus of all points equidistant from a central point. The rim of a circle shape is called the circle circumference. The point right in the center is called the centre of the circle.

Listed below is a problems on circumference of a circle.

1) Find the circumference of a circle with radius 5cms

Solution:

Circumference of a circle = 2Πr

= 2*3.14*5

= 31.4cms

Therefore the Circumference of the circle with radius 5 cms is 31.4cms.

Any straight line joining two different points on the circumference of a circle is known as the Chord of a Circle.The straight line drawn from the centre of the circle to the circumference of the circle is known as the radius of the circle.
