Intersecting lines

Two lines having a common point are called Intersecting Lines. The common point is known as the point of intersection.

The intersection of two lines leads to the formation of congruent angles which are called as Vertical angles. It also leads to the formation of Adjacent angles known as Supplementary angles.


We can say that all the perpendicular lines are intersecting lines but not all intersecting lines are perpendicular lines. The lines that are parallel to each other are not intersecting lines.
